Haunted-house props I designed years ago, rebuilt for the Raspberry Pi 3. These are wiring diagrams only. The code and build details aren't public, so write your own or get in touch.

Thunder & Lightning

A motion sensor triggers a random thunderclap through outdoor speakers, and the floodlights flash on the loud peaks while the basement lights black out. Solid-state relays switch the mains lighting, with a 3-minute lockout between storms.

Struggling Corpse

Step near the coffin and a black light snaps on. The lid heaves through one to three failed escape attempts with grunts and a final groan, driven by a 12-volt air valve and a reversed door closer, then vents with a hiss and slams shut. It shares a Pi with the thunder prop.
